Description

Breaking blue – semi absract seascape is one of a series of semi abstract paintings that I enjoyed creating as part of a large commission..

The commission was based on an ocean voyage and I instantly thought of breaking waves, there is something so mesmerising about the power of the sea and as I live in an old coastguard station perched on some cliffs with the sea only about 50 yards away I get to see a lot of waves!

In this painting I tried to capture that power but also show the calm and spiritual element to the water as well…
