I love the crashing waves and timeless quality of the cliffs in the West of Ireland, this is a painting of Downpatrick Head on a fresh spring afternoon.
The headland and sea stack of Dún Briste (the broken fort) is as beautiful, dramatic and inspiring on wild and windy days as it is on calm and sunny days…. there is something about the colourful rocks of the cliffs against the blues of the ocean and sky that is enchanting
