I scattered lots of wild flower seeds last summer and I had a riot of poppies dancing around the edges of my garden…

The vibrant reds of these flowers are so cheerful and bright that I had to paint them

I used lots of thick lush paint swept on by palette knife and thoroughly enjoyed myself!

This painting is my memory of last summer, painted on a grey cold rainy day to clear me up!
