Description
Summer Pastures is a painting inspired by the golden yellow fields of late summer that surround me at the moment, the vibrant yellow ochre tones seems to sing in the bright summer sunshine with the clear blue skies as a back drop and the vivid greens of the trees and hedgerows… and then the odd dash of colour from wild flowers… what a joy to see and to paint!
There is a hill near Wicklow (that I often drive by on the N11) I have no idea of its name but the lone tree that seems to be eternally climbing its side often catches my eye, The last time I drove by there were sheep in the fields below it and the white fluffy dots were too much to resist …so I had to paint them!
