Crashing waves & Stormy seas is inspired by a walk I had along the cliffs near my home on the Wicklow/Wexford border, it was a mild blue skied afternoon just after a stormy day, the waves were crashing in and large rollers were breaking on the off shore sand bank, Sea spray and foam were being tossed over the cliff path and it was utterly invigorating….

I rushed back to my studio and captured the moment in this little painting, the colours in the sea were wonderful with flecks of greens and browns against the blue of the sky, I love to watch the Sea in all its power and glory
