Description
Moonshine Sugarloaf is one work from a series of paintings inspired by the Sugarloaf in Co.Wicklow
I grew up in greystones, Co.Wicklow and the Sugarloaf is very prominent landmark and always captured my imagination, especially after I was told it was a dormant Volcano as a child!
I always imagined it suddenly erupting and kept an eye on it whenever we drove nearby and through the Glen of The Downs!
The shape of the mountain is striking and I am repeatedly drawn to painting it, I love its sihlouette against the sky, a truly dominating landmark..
This painting is oil on perspex and comes framed as shown and measures 36 x 36 x 3cm framed
