Dusk over Dalkey Island is from a series of works inspired by this Iconic Island, that continually fascinates me

I have always loved this Island that can be viewed from the train as it runs along the coast to Dublin, no matter what season or time of day it always caught my eye and I used to think about who had lived there, the Martello tower on its slopes and the wild goats that live there…
I have used a mix of brushes and Palette knifes to create this painting, lots of lovely thick paint!
This painting is oil on board and is framed as shown
