The Tree and the Sunset is a painting inspired by The setting sun as it illuminates the sky with vivid swirling light and colours that seem to bounce across the sky and light up the green fields below..
I am so lucky to live with these views and find myself increasing drawn to painting the wonderful skies that surround me, I love the sense of space and the constantly changing drama of the clouds and their colours throughout the day..

I used sweeps of thick oil paint applied with palette knifes to capture the intense skies

This painting is oil on canvas board and is float mounted and framed in a white wooden box frame as shown in the images
