Glendalough Sunset is from a series of works of this dramatic and spectacular Wicklow Landmark, from early childhood I remember summer family picnics there, being totally in awe of the history and mystic landscape….

The steep slopes with their Trees always seemed like perfect places for Robin Hood type figures to live, full of adventure for a child…. and then the still waters of the lake put me in mind of Lough Ness and its monster…..

Now as an adult Glendalough fills me with nostalgia for my childhood and inspires a romantic sense with its dramatic beauty and seemingly infinite peace and serenity
