Red Moon rising is inspired by a night sitting out in my garden around a fire pit with friends and we had the luck to see a red moon rise over the horizon out at sea, it was the most amazing sight and this night has inspired me to do a series of works capturing the dramatic moments of the Moon first breaking the surface and then slowly climbing above the horizon and floating up into the dark blue sky..

This painting is oil on board and is float mounted and framed in a white limed wooden box frame
